Celtic fans have hit back at Charlie Adam after he claimed Nir Bitton was trying to force a move out of Parkhead this summer.
The former Rangers midfielder suggested there were "grumblings" in the Hoops dressing room as the Israeli and Kris Ajer wanted to leave the club during the transfer window.
Adam, who plays for Dundee, also insists Steven Gerrard's side can exploit the left-hand side of Celtic's defence with Ajer and Greg Taylor in Saturday's derby.
He told PLZ Soccer: "I think that Rangers will be trying to target (Greg) Taylor and (Kris) Ajer.
"I think Ajer's been all over the place really this season, because he wants out and his head's everywhere.
"There's one or two little bits of grumblings I'm hearing in at Celtic as well.
"The lads wanted to go away in this last window, to try and get out. Bitton (was) causing a little bit of an issue.
"It's strange times, but listen, Celtic are a good side. They've got a good manager that's been here before.
"They've got good experience in (Scott) Brown, (Callum) McGregor. People like that will get them through the game, but I just think if Rangers target that left side of Celtic they'll get great opportunities between Ajer and Taylor."
But Celtic supporters have heavilty criticised Adam for his comments and questioned where he sourced his information from.
Bitton penned a bumper deal less than a year go and is contracted at the club until 2023.
