Celtic fans all say the same thing about Nir Bitton and Stephen Welsh decision for Livingston clash

Celtic fans can't get their head around youngster Stephen Welsh being dropped for Nir Bitton against Livingston.

Gavin Strachan, who stands in for Neil Lennon, named his side to face Livi this afternoon as he made two changes from the 1-1 draw against Hibs.

Bitton replaces Welsh after serving his suspension and Anthony Ralston comes in for Cameron Harper.

It's another makeshift XI for the Parkhead side as 13 first team players self-isolate following Christopher Jullien's positive test.

And Celtic supporters are disappointed Welsh has dropped to the bench after a good performance against the Easter Road side.

@Bhoy1888Celtic1 said: "Welsh, one of our better players the other night, dropped. Rogic, one of our worst players the other night, starts. Ok."

@MartinWardhaugh added: "Bitton over Welsh is absolutely laughable."

@TheMaestro1888 tweeted: "Is Strachan picking players out of a bingo machine?"

@PaddyMcG1967 said: "Welsh had a good game a few days ago and Bitton has been honking for months. Absolutely shambolic decision-making."

@VDZEMedia added: "Ralston starting over Dembélé. Also Duffy in ahead of Welsh is laughable. Even from outside the stadium Lennon continues to make dreadful managerial decisions. At least Bitton is back in. One of the better CB's we have despite it not even being his natural position.

@paullarkin74 tweeted: "Welsh was excellent on Monday. Dropped immediately."
