Celtic fan sneaks into Ibrox to wave Nine In A Row flag on pitch in risky Rangers taunt

A Celtic fan has filmed himself sneaking into Ibrox to wave a ‘Nine In A Row’ flag in a risky taunt to fierce rivals  Rangers.

The Hoops fan can be seen waving the flag as he walks towards the middle of the pitch in a two minute clip posted on social media just hours after Celtic were declared champions of the SPFL Premiership.

He treads cautiously towards the centre circle in case he is spotted by security staff working at Ibrox Stadium in the Govan area of Glasgow.

After waving the flag for a short period of time the chancer then makes a quick dash towards his escape route out of the stadium.

As he runs from the field he shows viewers where he managed to sneak into the stadium.

He says: "Look, the wee door open here."

“They’ve probably phoned the coppers by now.

“I hope I don’t get caught coming out here. I’ll f*****g do a screw or two.

“See yous.”

Instead of leaving the premises from where he entered he attempts to climb over the club gates at one corner of the stadium.

He said: "Cannae get up that f*****g end.

"How do I get oot, How do I get oot. F***."

His phone is then dropped to the ground while the bungling Celtic fan struggles to climb over the gates.

Police Scotland has not been contacted about any incident taking place at the stadium.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We have not received any reports of a break-in at Ibrox.”

The footage comes after Celtic were awarded the Premiership trophy as SPFL clubs agreed unanimously to end the season early amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Dozens of Hoops fans gathered at Celtic’s Parkhead home to celebrate the club’s nine in a row success.

The achievement equals Rangers' nine in a row in the 1996-97 season and previously Celtic’s ninth consecutive title in the 1973-74 season.

Rangers have been approached for comment.
