Celtic fan receives heartwarming Ange Postecoglou gesture as boss makes time for post match chat

Manager Ange Postecoglou isn't just winning over Celtic fans with performances on the pitch.

The classy Aussie is also impressing off the park after showing his compassionate side in a class post-match moment at Celtic Park.

Having beaten St Johnstone 2-0 earlier in the afternoon, the Hoops boss was preparing to talk to the media after the game, as the Daily Record reports.

But he left them waiting as, alongside skipper Callum McGregor, he spoke to a Celtic fan who is currently struggling with ill-health. He also jumped over the barrier to take a picture with the supporter.

The heart-warming incident was captured by Celtic TV, with pundit John Hartson explaining he had also met the fan in question before kick-off.

Hartson told Celtic TV: "The gentleman he's speaking to there is Kevin.

"We were asked to go and meet him before the game as he's not in the best of health.

"That's brilliant pictures there, seeing the manager shaking his hand.

"It's great for the fans when they see their manager do that.

"He's become a firm favourite and the fans have got right behind him from the off. He's a fantastic character."
