Broadcaster Jim White believes Sean Dyche to Celtic would be the perfect move for both the current Burnley boss and the Parkhead side.
Record Sport columnist Chris Sutton has previously talked-up the straight-shooting Clarets manager as someone he would like to see take the reins in Glasgow's east end.
Eddie Howe remains the favourite for the vacancy as supporters await news on who will be Neil Lennon's permanent successor.
And White has extolled Dyche's virtues after angry Tottenham fan Phil urged him to do so after White chucked the 49-year-old's name into the mix for the Spurs vacancy.
The caller admits he has no interest in seeing that appointment from Daniel Levy for his side but wondered why the Sky Sports host hadn't named him as a potential candidate for Celtic.
The talkSPORT exchange in full
Phil: Just a quick one, Jim, are you on the wind-up about Sean Dyche? If you rate him that much why haven't you put his name forward for the Celtic job? The team you follow, the team that you like. Why is he good enough for Tottenham but not Celtic?
Jim White : I'll do that now, Phil. I think Sean Dyche would be great at Celtic. I think he would be brilliant at Celtic, he would do a great job, but what would Sean want to go up there, and leave the Premier League?
Phil: Listen, he won't be welcome at Tottenham.
Simon Jordan: It's a big job is what (Phil) is saying, aren't you? Jim, you're regularly tooting that horn about how big a job (Celtic) is, come on now, back it up by endorsing Dyche to go to Celtic.
Jim White: For sure, I think it would be a great move. I think Sean going to Celtic would be a good move for him and for Celtic. But why would you not want him at Tottenham, Phil?
Phil: Because of the style of football they play. We just got rid of Mourinho, ok. because 90 per cent of the fans hated the style of football we were playing.
