Celtic face youth exodus as Manchester United, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund circle talents

Celtic youngster Vincent Angelini is reportedly interesting a host of major European sides, according to reports.

The teenage goalkeeper - grandson of Parkhead legend Davie Hay - is out of contract at the end of the season and has attracted the attentions of AC Milan and Manchester United among others.

Angelini, whose father is Italian, is rumoured to have told The Hoops he will not be renewing his deal at the end of May.

That could open the door for Milan, as well as other Serie A standouts Atalanta, Fiorentina and Lazio to battle for his signature, while English trio United, Everton and Southampton are also keen.

It could be the latest in an exodus from the Celtic youth programme which has already seen Barry Hepburn and Liam Morrison depart for Bayern Munich.

The pair may soon be joined in Germany by teenage prodigy Karamoko Dembele, who is a target for Borussia Dortmund, while Cameron Harper is closing in on a move to New York Red Bulls.

Josh Adam joined Manchester City last year and Liam Hughes swapped Glasgow for Liverpool in the January transfer window.

Angelini stands at 6’3 but first came to prominence after being voted as the best goalkeeper at the prestigious Marc Overmars Tournament in the Netherlands in 2017.

Dembele was awarded the competition’s best overall player while Morrison lifted the trophy as captain after a 2-1 win over hosts Ajax in the final.

Youngster Stephen Welsh scored his first goal for the club in Saturday’s win over Motherwell, while academy products James Forrest and Callum McGregor are long term fixtures in the side.

Goalkeeper Conor Hazard and wide man Mikey Johnston have made sporadic appearances this season, however the likes of Luca Connell and Ewan Henderson have been given few opportunities to impress.
