Celtic face a possible transfer battle if they are to land Marcelo Saracchi from Boca Juniors, according to a report.
It's claimed the full-back is expected to leave Argentina this summer with a number of potential exit avenues from Boca, where he is thought not to be part of future plans.
As reported by The Celtic Way, Parkhead chiefs had opened talks to re-sign the defender from Boca but little progress has been made. Celtic had initially signalled a desire to strike a second loan deal.

However, Saracchi is not short of options with interest from Brazil and elsewhere in Europe.
El Crack Deportivo reports that Independiente are monitoring Saracchi's situation as they look to replace Milton Valenzuela.
While no official bid has been submitted, it's claimed Saracchi has been made their main transfer priority, which could complicate matters for Celtic.
