Celtic may have grounds to reschedule their clash with Rangers for a second time depending on how many stars are called up for international duty in January.
Ange Postecoglou is likely to have four Japan internationals to choose from after the triple signing of Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi on Hogmanay.
They join Kyogo in Glasgow and Japan boss Hajime Moriyasu will likely want all four available for selection for their double-header with China and Saudi Arabia.
As things stand it's doubtful any of the four will be able to travel due to strict Covid restrictions on foreign travel in Japan.
But if they are cleared in time, all four could be in line to face Saudi Arabia on February 1st - 24 hours before the Hoops are due to face Rangers in the rearranged Old Firm Derby.
With Tom Rogic likely to be involved for Australia on the same day, it means Celtic could be without as many as five stars for the big game with Gio van Bronckhorst's team.
And SPFL rules state that any team with three or more absences for international reasons has the right to call for a postponement.
Rule G7 states: "A club shall be entitled to apply to the board for the postponement of any official match where three or more of its players who would otherwise have participated in such match are unavailable through international selection and, following receipt of such an application, the board may postpone and rearrange the relevant official match in accordance with Rule G3."
It's also possible Rangers could be without a couple of key players with Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun likely to be involved with Nigeria at AFCON.
Their final group game is on January 19 but the quarter-finals kick off on February 2 - the same day the Old Firm is due to take place.
Gers also have Fashion Sakala in their ranks but Zambia did not qualify for AFCON.
