Celtic could be set to face last-minute competition from Borussia Monchengladbach in their bid to land £4 million-priced keeper Tjark Ernst.
The club has been strongly linked with a move for the 23-year-old Hertha Berlin goalkeeper, along with former Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst's Feyenoord.
Ernst has a £4 million release clause in his contract and didn't play in his side's weekend friendly, although Hertha insisted that it was planned.
However, Celtic now face a battle with Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach because they look set to lose their No.1 keeper, Moritz Nicolas.

The 28-year-old is a £12 million target for clubs in England and Spain, and could be on his way out of the club after 11 years.
And reports in Germany have indicated that Monchengladbach have already targeted Ernst as his replacement.
Hertha want to keep their keeper, but have resigned themselves to a summer departure, and Celtic now face a sweat to see if they can land him.
