Celtic drawn against FK Sarajevo in Champions League first round qualifier

Celtic have been drawn against FK Sarajevo in their Champions League first round qualifier.

Neil Lennon 's side will face the Bosnian side, after the draw took place today in Nyon, Switzerland.

Celtic are scheduled to be at home for the first leg, to be played on July 9 or 10.

The list of possible opponents was small for this round of the qualifiers, with the Hoops only facing one of five possible sides.

Celtic are ranked in 47th place in the European coefficient before this campaign kicks off, and were one of the seeded teams in today's draw.

They will be looking to improve on last season's disappointing third qualifying round exit to AEK Athens.

This season's Champions League Final will be held at Atatürk Olympic Stadium, Turkey on Saturday, 30 May 2020.

The first round of qualifying games will take place on July 9/10 and July 16/17. And in an apparent bonus, the loser of Celtic's qualifier with Sarajevo will be given a bye to the Europa League's 3rd qualifying round

The second qualifying round will be drawn on Wednesday.
