Jozo Simunovic paid the ultimate tribute to Celtic legend Billy McNeill on Saturday.
Simunovic scored a fairytale winner on the day the Hoops said an emotional goodbye to McNeill.
The Croatian defender, wearing the legend’s famous number 5, scored with 67 minutes on the clock.
It was a fitting time for Simunovic to open his account for the season - just as he predicted he might.
It was a day when Celtic celebrated the life of their greatest-ever captain with a 67-second round of applause.
The breakthrough came midway through the second half and it would prove the defining moment in the match.
Callum McGregor hung a cross to the far post and Simunovic rose to nod down into the near post.
The defender had stated on the eve of the game that it was a dream to score on the day and he made it happen with a priceless header which the great man would have been proud of to win the contest.
The fact it came with 67 minutes on the stadium clock just added gloss to the occasion.
