Liam Morrison has joined European giants Bayern Munich after leaving Celtic .
The Scotland youth international is highly regarded and the Premiership champions pulled out all the stops in their bid to keep him in Glasgow.
But the 16-year-old wanted the move to Germany and he join the the Bavarian side's youth academy
Munich supremo Jochen Sauer is delighted the talented Scottish defender has committed his long-term future to the Bundesliga big boys.
He said: “Liam had many offers from well-known European clubs.
“We are very glad that he has decided for us. He is a robust, physically strong defender who also brings a lot of quality.”
It's a setback for Celtic just six weeks after Hoops boss Lennon insisted he would do all he could to convince the player to stay.
He said: "There is interest from Germany but Liam’s our player and we want to develop him.
"We're not accepting any – or are open to any – offers for him. I think we’re in negotiations over a new contract."
