Celtic crock Daniel Arzani returns to Manchester City to step up rehab

Daniel Arzani has returned to Manchester City to step up his rehabilitation from the torn ACL which has ruined his first season on loan at Celtic .

The Australian forward joined the Hoops on a two-year loan from the Etihad giants in August just two months after starring for his country at the World Cup.

But the former Melbourne City forward's Celtic career cruelly stalled just minutes into his first team debut after he came on as a sub at Dundee in October.

Arzani crumpled in agony at Dens Park during a 5-0 win and scans later confirmed he had torn his anterior cruciate ligament, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.

The 20-year-old underwent surgery and vowed to "improve and come out of this better than ever."

He was seen back at Celtic's Lennoxtown training ground earlier this month as he was put through light sessions by the Bhoys' coaching staff.

But on Monday he confirmed with a post on social media that he was back at Manchester City as he continues his recovery from a season-ending injury.

Arzani will return to Celtic for pre-season ahead of the second year of his loan deal as he looks to make an impact in Scottish football and catch the eye of his paymasters in Manchester.
