Celtic confirm Josip Juranovic transfer as Croatian right-back pens five-year deal

Celtic have confirmed the signing of right-back Josip Juranovic from Legia Warsaw.

The Hoops have been hunting for a new right-back for months with the likes of Aurelio Buta and George Baldock linked.

But it emerged last week that Juranovic was the primary target and a deal was quickly agreed to bring him into Ange Postecoglou's side.

He played his final game for Legia against Slavia Prague in the Europa League playoff and admitted afterwards that he would be leaving to join Celtic.

And now the club have confirmed the signing in a deal believed to be worth around £3m.

He has penned a five-year deal at Celtic Park.

Juranovic can't be registered in time to face AZ Alkmaar on Thursday so his debut could come in Sunday's Old Firm derby with Rangers.

He provides some much needed competition for Anthony Ralston who has played virtually every minute of their season so far.
