Celtic have learned the dates for their Champions League qualifying campaign and it will start after the Premiership season.
In previous years, the Hoops have had to face European action in early July but the coronavirus pandemic has pushed that back and they will kick off their campaign in August.
And there's another change as well in that they will play just one leg in each round of the tournament up until the playoff.
The first qualifying round will take place on either August 18 or 19 with a decision on whether Celtic will play at home or away decided by the draw.
The next round will take place a week later and then there is a break of almost a month for the third qualifying round, due to take place on September 16/17.
The playoff will revert to the two-legged approach we know from Champions League qualifying and take place on September 22/23 and 29/30.
It also means the group stage of the tournament has been pushed back and will take place over six matchdays in October, November and December.
Neil Lennon's men will be hoping to get back into the Champions League group stage for the first time in three seasons having crashed out at the third qualifying round in each of the last two seasons.
AEK Athens and CFR Cluj were the conquerers in those campaigns but the Hoops will hope they can get past that this time around with plenty of games under their belt in the league before that happens.
