Celtic called 'greatest team in the world' by Australian Who Wants to be a Millionaire host

As any Celtic fan will tell you, it's a club known all around the world.

That's been proved once again, as a clip has emerged of the club being praised on the Australian version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

In a clip shared by Hoops fan @frusinatebhoy, Host Eddie McGuire, who has presented the show since it began in 1999, made reference to his love of Celtic after a contestant was asked: "Which of these 'seas' is not a part of the Mediterranean Sea?".

The options were 'Balearic', 'Adriatic', 'Tyrrhenian' and 'Celtic'. After the contestant chose 'Celtic', McGuire responded: "You reckon that they wouldn't have a sea in the Mediterranean sea named after the greatest soccer team in the world, Glasgow Celtic? No? I'm a big Celtic man."

With $20,000 in the balance, McGuire told the contestant: "Well you thought right. Correct for 20,000 dollars."

Another clip was shared by @tseb69, in which the contestant is a Rangers fan.

He faced the question: "In the standard division of the visible light spectrum into seven colours, which colour is the centre?".

The options given to him were 'Orange', 'Red', 'Blue' and 'Green'.

After the contestant chose Orange, McGuire looked at his card and replied: "Says here if you won the money, you'd want to go and see Rangers play Celtic. Are you a Rangers fan?"

The contestant said "I am", to which McGuire replied: "You are, so that's why you went for orange. YOU SHOULD'VE GONE FOR GREEN! See Celtic beats Rangers."

Asked if he would be visiting Celtic Park or Ibrox, the contestant replied: "I've been to both."
