Celtic bounce-back predicted as Kilmarnock boss fancies side to cause shock upset

Alex Dyer has backed his side to pull off a shock upset at Celtic Park on Sunday.

Kilmarnock head to the home of the Premiership champions this weekend after Wednesday night's heartbreaking defeat to Aberdeen in the William Hill Scottish Cup but the gaffer fancies them to nick a result against the league leaders.

He said: “I have got no worries about the boys reacting. They are professional enough to react because they have been there before. I have no worries about getting a good performance against Celtic.

“We are ready to go there and do the best we can and work hard for a result.

“Celtic are a good team but so are we.

“We have had one day rest more than them. They are used to playing Thursday and Sunday though and have no problem with that. We know it’s going to be a tough game but we are preparing for it.”

He added: "The target has not changed since the day I took this job on. It’s to try and get in the top six.

“Let’s see if we can get in the top six because we could still have a few results that make us look the other way as well."
