Celtic boss Neil Lennon to quit acting after Hoops' Christmas advert big bum shock

Neil Lennon says he’s giving acting the bum’s rush after complaining his behind looks too big in an advert.

The Celtic FC boss features in the club’s Christmas charity promo.

But Lenny is unhappy with his look.

Asked whether he enjoyed filming the three-minute film, he said: “Nah, my bum looks massive in it, in that tuxedo.”

The Northern Irishman plays a conductor, decked out in a tuxedo, leading Celtic players and kids in a choir.

The advert is part of the club’s festive celebrations and stars players past and present.

Lennon added: “It was a bit of fun and all the players enjoyed the day. It’s innovative. The club do it very well and it’s in good taste for the right reasons.

“I didn’t have to say anything this time. I just had to pretend to be a conductor but I didn’t get a baton.

“I would have liked to have had a big stick. But it was a lot of fun.”

The promo uses music based on the song We Three Kings and pays tribute to Lisbon Lions Billy McNeill and Stevie Chalmers, who both died earlier this year.

The lyrics of the original song have been changed to: “Star of Lisbon, Star so bright, Star of Glasgow’s Green & White”.

The original song – created for the advert – will be released to raise money for Celtic FC Foundation’s Christmas Appeal.
