Celtic boss Neil Lennon hits out at Kevin Clancy over penalty shouts as he sends Olivier Ntcham warning

Frustrated Neil Lennon has hit out at Kevin Clancy after Celtic were denied two penalty shouts during their 1-1 draw with Hibernian.

The Hoops boss was left ruing his luck after his side were denied in the 1-1 draw and reckons his team should have been awarded a pair of spot-kicks in the second half.

Ryan Christie had the first claim when Hibs skipper Lewis Stevenson appeared to catch the Hoops star on the byeline but referee Clancy waved play on.

There was more shouts from the away supporters when Daryl Horgan crashed into Moritz Bauer but the visitors were once again left frustrated as the Hoops dropped two Premiership points.

The game was threatening to boil over before the break as Paul Heckingbottom was sent to the stands for kicking a water bottle off the the fourth official.

Things settled down after the interval but the Celtic boss reckons the man in the middle got two big calls wrong.

Lennon said: "I know we dropped points and people will be saying 'Oh, it's Lennon', but we should have two penalties today.

"The one on Moritz Bauer is a clear penalty and the one on Christie is a clear penalty.

"We didn't get a stonewall penalty against Kilmarnock, anyway, that's not the reason, well it might be, why we dropped points.

"They were not debatable penalties, they were clear penalties and would have changed the psychology of the game.

"Our finishing in the final third wasn't there, it was a little bit flat, we looked a little bit slack.

"The referee got a lot right but in my eyes he got some big decisions wrong."

And the Hoops boss fired a warning to midfielder Olivier Ntcham after the Frenchman was booked for raising his hand towards Josh Vela after the players clashed before the break.

Lennon added: "You've got to keep your hands down.

"I'll speak to Oli about that, I don't know what the provocation was. Maybe both players merited a yellow card.

"There was a lot going on out there today."
