Celtic boss Neil Lennon 'comfortable' with Kieran Tierney situation as Arsenal fail with latest offer

Neil Lennon has addressed Arsenal's ongoing pursuit of Kieran Tierney, insisting that Celtic remain 'comfortable with the situation' as it stands.

The Gunners have identified the highly-rated left-back, 22, as a key target this summer as they look to bolster their defensive options.

Arsenal recently returned with a renewed offer for Tierney believed to be worth around £25million including several add-on payments, but were once again rebuffed by Celtic, who want more money upfront.

Hoops boss Lennon was quizzed about the protracted saga during a press conference held at the Lennoxtown training centre in advance of Wednesday's Champions League first qualifying round second-leg tie against FK Sarajevo.

"The club's valuation of Kieran has not been met and until then we don't have a decision to make," he said.

Pressed on if he anticipated another bid from Arsenal, Lennon added: "I don't know what Arsenal's financial state is.

"I know what ours is and we are quite comfortable with the situation at the moment.

"There has been a second bid, the bid has been rejected and it's as you were."
