Celtic boss Neil Lennon brings back aeroplane celebration as Hoops seal Premiership title

It was the perfect day for Celtic and Neil Lennon had something special for the club's supporters at the final whistle.

The interim boss was jubilant after his side's 3-0 win over Aberdeen sealed the Hoops' eighth consecutive Premiership title.

His players were loving it but no one looked to be enjoying the moment more than the 47-year-old Irishman.

A decision over Lennon's fate beyond this season hasn't been announced but the former boss is doing all he can to land the job for keeps.

And he also got the away fans on their feet as he performed the aeroplane celebration he has made his own.

You only have to rewind 12 months to when Lennon was on the pitch wheeling around in delight as Hibs scored in the dying seconds to secure a 5-5 draw against Rangers.

That reaction landed him a ban but the runway was clear this time around to bring back his trademark routine to celebrate the league title success.

And Lennon spoke of his pride at the final whistle as he paid tribute to former boss Brendan Rodgers.

He said: "The players were fantastic today. They give me the heebie-jeebies sometimes with the way they play and take chances.

"We needed the opening goal because Aberdeen had had some great chances early on.

"I have to pay tribute to Brendan (Rodgers). He has to get a huge amount of credit. This title success is down to the foundations he laid here. I was lucky enough to carry it on.
