Celtic's attempts to sign Lyon youngster Amine Gouiri have failed after the French giants revealed a huge €24m asking price, according to a report in France.
The sensational figures for the 20-year-old means Celtic are unwilling to splash out on him, particularly given he's made just 12 senior appearances in his career and scored no goals.
The highly-rated frontman is expected to leave Lyon this summer, whether that is on loan or a transfer with an option for to buy him back in the future.
But it looks like it won't be to Celtic with Le Progres saying their initial offers have been dismissed by Lyon.
Gouiri rejected a loan move in January to Nimes in a bid to fight for his place at Stade Gerland but Lyon want him to go out on loan in the summer.
But if he rejects that chance to try and fight for his place, Lyon are willing to sell him with an agreed price that the Ligue 1 club would have to pay to get him back in future.
Celtic have a good recent history of dealing with French strikers, with Moussa Dembele joining the club in 2016 and then being sold for £20m to Lyon, while Odsonne Edouard is currently star man for Neil Lennon's men.
