Celtic Betfred Cup boost as club make 'significant investment' to strike deal with Premier Sports

Celtic season ticket holders will have access to this season's Betfred Cup matches after agreeing a deal with Premier Sports.

Some of the Hoops' European qualifers were available on the TV channel earlier in the season and now the club have struck a similar agreement with the broadcaster who have the rights to the league cup this term.

Celtic claim they have made a 'significant investment' in the partnership as fans will be able to tune into their side's progress on the Premier Sports Player as supporters remain locked out of stadia amid the coronavirus pandemic.

A spokesperson said: “We are so grateful to our season ticket holders for the huge commitment they have made to the club during this very difficult year.

"Clearly, we desperately want our fans back with us safely at Celtic Park. However, until this is the case we aim to do all we can to provide additional access and value to our fans.

“We are pleased to partner with Premier Sports and again offer our supporters this access as we begin the defence of a trophy we have won for the last four consecutive seasons.

"We thank our season ticket holders, indeed all our fans for their fantastic continued support.”
