Celtic beef up Lennoxtown security as tensions rise over poor form

Celtic have added extra security outside of Lennoxtown as tensions continue to rise over the poor run of form ongoing at the club.

The Parkhead club had to have extra police at the club's ground on Sunday night with fans raging at the performances in recent weeks.

Clashing between supporters and police led to a damning statement from the club as they slaughtered them for leaving players 'shaken'.

And now they've got police outside of the club's training ground at Lennoxtown to ensure there's no repeat of the incident on Monday.

Neil Lennon is expected to hold talks with the club's hierarchy over the next 48 hours which could decide his future at the club.

Sky Sports shared a video of a police van leaving the training ground and one fan was turned away from Lennoxtown earlier this morning.

Celtic are training there on Monday morning as they prepare for Thursday night's Europa League clash with AC Milan.

Earlier today, Rangers hero Ally McCoist criticised the supporters and said: "There were outrageous scenes after the game.

"There not supporters, I nearly called them supporters, that's exactly the one thing they are not.

"They completely embarrassed themselves with some of their behaviour, throwing fences at police vehicles.

"I don't think I've seen anything like that in this country to tell you the truth, you sometimes see it when it's Turkey and Italy.

"It was absolutely shocking, an embarrassment, they really were, it goes without saying we can do without that."
