Celtic are 'fragile' claims Craig Levein as former Hearts boss sends warning to Neil Lennon's men

Craig Levein reckons Celtic are still in the middle of a 'fragile' period and has warned them not to underestimate Hearts in this weekend's Scottish Cup Final.

The two sides meet at Hampden on Sunday as the Hoops look to secure a quadruple treble.

Celtic have endured a horrible run of form in the last six weeks or so, but steadied the ship somewhat with back-to-back wins against Lille and Kilmarnock.

But former Hearts boss Levein feels Neil Lennon's men are not out of the woods just yet and the Jambos have a great opportunity to shock the the Premiership side.

He told the BBC: "I’m not so sure if Celtic are over this fragile period.

"I think if Hearts can get in front in the match or if the match goes any length of time without a goal and it becomes a bit nervous, then I think the way the Hearts players are feeling just now is probably a fair bit better than the way the Celtic players are feeling just now.

“If it’s a tight game and goes the distance then I think nerves may play a part with some of the Celtic players.

“Hearts are firing on cylinders and really have the bit between their teeth at the moment.

"Other than the Dunfermline match a couple of weeks back they have been sweeping away all before them.

“I think they’ve got a better chance than people think."

Levein has warned the Celtic players not to take Hearts lightly just because they're a tier below them.

He added: "Robbie will do his homework for sure, and have a fair idea about how Celtic are going to play because that’s his job.

“If Celtic have any thoughts that this should be easy because Hearts are in a lower division then I think they’re making a huge mistake."
