Celtic and Rangers YouTuber writes letter of apology to Ibrox club and hits out at online abuse

The YouTuber behind the viral Celtic and Rangers stadium tour video has revealed he's written an apology letter to the Ibrox club.

Ninh Ly, who visited both grounds wearing their rivals' kits, claimed last week he received racist abuse and death threats after the video gathered traction online.

He also says the majority of taunts were made by Rangers fans, reports the Daily Record .

But Ly maintains that a doctored version of his video - reposted by Stan Collymore - which appeared on Twitter skewed the perception of both clubs' staff heavily in favour of Celtic.

The Manchester United supporter was complimentary of both tours, although was particularly impressed by the warm reception he received at Parkhead.

But having been alerted to the alternate version by a friend, he sent a message to Rangers explaining it had been taken out of context.

In a follow-up video, he said: "There is a lot of misinterpretation about this topic.

"At no point did I ever criticise either team's staff or either football club. I actually went on record that I recommended them both.

"Whilst my video was polarising to some, the vast majority saw the funny side of it and I got praise form both sides.

"But the negative comments I received have been predominantly from one side of the city.

"And whether that is typical or not I thought to myself 'Why are the Rangers fans so salty about all of this?'.

"I actually recommended the Ibrox tour, and I still do, what's the problem?

"I couldn't understand why they were so salty and aggressive given that most of them hadn't watched the video yet.

"But them my old friend told me Stan Collymore had retweeted my video. But I hadn't put my video on Twitter.

"Apparently there is a two minute clip of my video that has been cut specifically to make Rangers look really bad and Celtic look really good.

"Obviously I didn't do this.

"I wrote an apology to Rangers this morning because obviously this snippet of my 24-minute video has been taken a little bit out of context and is not indicative of my opinion."

In the original video, Ly stated he preferred the Celtic Park tour, heaping praise on the club's staff for a hugely warm welcome.

In particular, he called for tour guide Davie McLauglin to be given a pay rise for his impeccable hospitality.
