Celtic and Rangers would struggle to make it out of England's League One if they moved south of the border - at least according to one phone-in caller.
There has been consistent speculation about the pair making a move to the English league system, though UEFA opposition makes that extremely unlikely.
With both Celtic and Rangers drawing huge crowds every week, it's easy to see the commercial attraction of having them work their way up to the Premier League.
But one TalkSPORT caller claimed that Scotland's top two would struggle to make it out of the English third tier.
John, a Bolton Wanderers fan, insisted: "I don't think they're good enough to come into League One to be honest.
"I think they'd struggle with some big teams there - the likes of Sunderland would have a lot to say about that, big club, massive fanbase, massive stadium.
"Why would Celtic and Rangers command better players than Sunderland and other clubs of that size and stature in League One?
"I can't see it, I just don't think they'd do well down here.
"You've got other clubs in League One, big clubs of that size.
"I just don't think even if they got out of League One... possibly League Two."
The caller was then asked if he was saying the Glasgow giants wouldn't make it out of the fourth tier.
He replied: "I think they'd get out of League Two, but I think they'd have to start there.
"What I'm saying is I think if they got to League One they would find it very difficult.
"Then the Championship is probably about their level.
"I think the Premier League is a big ask, it's a massive ask."
