Celtic and Rangers stars join Grado to kick away lockdown blues in football challenge video

Scots wrestling star Grado kicked away his lockdown blues - with the help of some of Scottish football's brightest stars.

With the government advising people to only leave home if it's absolutely essential, many people are finding wonderfully weird and wacky ways to keep themselves entertained.

Chelsea star Billy Gilmour, and Bayern Munich youth Liam Morrison, joined the Rangers supporting grappler-turned-actor in a "Lockdoon Fitba" video showcasing their skills.

The video shows Grado, who also hosts wrestling and football podcasts, and the others doing keepie uppies and other tricks and then 'passing' the ball to each other - by kicking it off screen.

Gilmour, 18, Morrison, 17, and Grado, 31, all hail from an area of Ayrshire known as "The Three Towns" because Ardrossan, Saltcoats and Stevenston are so close together.

As well as ex-Gers midfielder Gilmour, and former Celtic defender Morrison, a host of well-known local footballers and Celtic and Rangers fans helped create the Three Toons Lockdoon Fitba video.

Liam's dad Jim, 40, who had trials with Aston Villa and was Captain of local amateur side Ardrossan Castle Rovers, also showed his skills in the video.

The five-minute clip, which was the brainchild of Grado's brother, delighted fans after it was posted on the wrestler's Facebook page.

The Two Doors Down and Scot Squad star wrote: "Appearances from some three toons players that have pulled on the shirt for Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Rangers, Celtic, Hearts, Ardeer Thistle, Winton and many more... aw and a few other legends along the way.

"Started by ma bro in a whatsapp group and grew arms and legs. Enjoy troops!"

The video, which has been viewed more than 17,000 times, was hailed by fans, who called it "brilliant" and "amazing."
