Celtic and Rangers fans who have been long-time regulars on the EA Sports FIFA series will finally have a long-term wish granted - with Celtic Park and Ibrox said to be added to September’s edition.
For years, the English Premier League has seen its grounds added to the game, with FIFA’s 2015 version granting every single top-flight club the opportunity to see their stadium mapped out in immensely realistic 3D for fans to play games at.
From Arsenal to AFC Bournemouth, 34 clubs south of the border have been afforded the chance to immerse themselves in the game - though for teams in the Scottish Premiership, that hasn’t been the case. With generic stadiums such as ‘Ivy Lane’, ‘Forest Park Stadium’, ‘Crown Lane’ and ‘Eastpoint Arena’ serving Scotland’s teams - with the latter being used as an alternative to Ibrox and Parkhead - Scottish teams have long been underrepresented in terms of originality.

But that is reportedly set to change in EA Sports’ next instalment of the game, which will be rebranded as EA Sports FC as opposed to FIFA 24 - with Celtic Park and Ibrox set to make their debuts.
In what is undoubtedly the most popular football video game of all-time, EA have fallen out with FIFA - the governing body - due to licensing issues, meaning they’ll be making their own game for the first time in 31 years.
Formerly on Pro Evolution Soccer, the famed stadia have long been pined for by Scottish football fans. But, with insider info from ‘FUTZONEFIFA’, it appears fans of the Old Firm duo will finally get their wish.
The game is set to be released on September 29, 2024.
