Celtic and Rangers documentary maker thanks public after missing son-in-law is found

Award-winning Scottish football documentary maker Margot McCuaig thanked the public for their help after her missing son-in-law was located.

Margot, who has made biopics about Celtic legends Jock Stein, Jimmy Johnstone and Tommy Burns and Rangers ' hero Jim Baxter, had appealed on Twitter for help in locating "vulnerable" 27-year-old Aaron Connolly.

The author and filmmaker provided an update on Twitter, saying the police had found Aaron, who had been on a night out in Edinburgh and was last in contact in the early hours of Saturday morning.

She tweeted: "The police have located Aaron. Thank you for everyone’s help, it’s much appreciated."

She told wellwishers that Aaron was "in the right place now, so hopefully he will be looked after".
