Scottish football has taken another big step towards securing another Champions League spot from 2021/22 as Celtic and Rangers' Europa League results help the country into 14th place on the coefficient table.
Celtic fought out a draw with Copenhagen in Denmark that puts them in a decent position to secure a last 16 place, while Rangers beat Braga 3-2 to secure a dramatic first-leg victory.
Two coefficient points are given for a win in Europe, while one is given for a draw - with the total divided by the number of clubs the country entered into European competition that season.
It means the Glasgow rivals earned Scotland 0.75 coefficient points (3 divided by 4) - enough to put them above the Czech Republic into 14th place in the coefficient standings.
Slavia Prague's elimination means the Czechs have no way of catching us.
Cyprus are one place further back, but APOEL Nicosia's 3-0 hammering by Basel means they picked up no points on Thursday, and similarly have little recourse to make up the 0.65 point cushion.
