Celtic and Rangers are worse than random English team says controversial pundit controversially

A pundit who you've never heard of has taken aim at Celtic and Rangers and insisted they're smaller than whatever mid-table English Premier League side he's just thought of.

The comments were made on English radio station chatBLOKE, and immediately uploaded to Twitter with the caption '#Celtic and #Rangers fans will HATE this! Do you agree with Pundit?'. They also added two fire emojis, to indicate that the pundit was on fire.

The pundit, who currently manages Collaterlie Sisters FC in England's Wetherspoons Self Service Conference, has also had spells at Kidderminster Harriers, Harchester United and Nuts magazine.

Considered an authority figure by chatBLOKE listeners, the pundit slammed, blasted and hit out at the two Glasgow sides.

"Look, I call it as I see it okay" said the pundit, adding: "My nan Celtic dog whistle Rangers tinpot random English club two-horse race bottom half of the Premier League and probably relegated."

Articles about the controversial comments are set to generate hate-clicks for at least six days, with people who actually have experience of high-level football expected to point out that only Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool could legitimately claim to be bigger clubs than Celtic or Rangers.

Sources close to the pundit believe he can extend the controversy into a second week by doubling down on his comments, and potentially even throwing in a seemingly off the cuff but actually meticulously scripted remark about Alfredo Morelos or Odsonne Edouard struggling to get a game for Stoke City.

"Actually, he's got a point" said Billericay Town boss Jamie O'Hara.

Glasgow Live Sport contacted pundit's agent for a response, but he was busy dealing with his other client Laurence Fox
