Celtic and Porto 'above all' in Ardon Jashari summer transfer pursuit

Celtic and Porto are reportedly set to battle for the signature of FC Luzern captain Ardon Jashari.

The 20-year-old is a full Switzerland international and expected to be a player in demand at the end of the season.

Celtic have been credited with an interest in the midfielder alongside a host of European clubs.

But, it's claimed that it would take a fee in the region of £7million to sign the talented youngster.

Blick report that Celtic and Porto are "above all" in the race for Jashari with Lazio and Atalanta also namechecked in a transfer update.

And the outlet claims it's "likely" Jashari will move on in the summer transfer window.

Celtic were previously linked with a swoop for Jashari in January and it's claimed the club could make a move in the coming months.

Speaking on transfer speculation, Jashari said: "Of course, I have read all the stories about my transfers to other clubs and I am aware of all the speculation.

"But I am happy that I am back in training with the club.

"For me, my focus right now is only with Luzern so that I can prepare well for the resumption of the league system. Everything else is out of my control.

"With regards to any possible transfer, the timing and financial aspect of any deal would have to be right for both me and the club."
