Celtic and Motherwell 'test event' plans booted out by Scottish Government

Celtic plans to host a 'test event' with Motherwell for the safe return of supporters to stadiums has been booted out by the Scottish Governemnt.

The Hoops had hoped to allow close to 1000 spectators into Celtic Park on Sunday for the visit of the Steelmen.

However, it's understood those plans have now been canned, with football chiefs said to furious at the decision.

A limited number of fans are set to be allowed into football grounds from September 14, as Scottish football tries to ease it way back to some kind of normality amid the on-going Covid-19 crisis.
