Celtic and Bristol City target set to seal £5m transfer after medical

Andraz Sporar is set to finally seal a £5m move to Sporting.

The free-scoring Slovan Bratislava forward was scouted by Bristol City ahead of the January transfer window.

Yet the Robins opted to look elsewhere due to Bratislava's asking price for the player, following interest from Celtic, Sporting and Qatar.

Portuguese side Sporting have long been expected to seal Sporar's signature after having a bid accepted last week, but the deal has taken some time to come to fruition.

Yet Football Insider report that Sporar has now agreed personal terms with Sporting and has undergone a medical at the club.

The 25-year-old is expected to sign a three-and-a-half year deal at the Portuguese club, with the transfer expected to be announced shortly.

Whilst Celtic turned their attentions to a £3.5m deal for Polish forward Patryk Klimala, the Robins are yet to seal a deal for a new transfer.
