Celtic and Aberdeen handed new kick-off as postponed Premiership game shifted after UEFA request

Celtic and Aberdeen 's postponed clash has been brought forward after a request from UEFA.

The clubs were originally poised to meet in August before Covid-19 protocol breaches led to the match being called off.

The SPFL had rearranged the Premiership game at Celtic Park on Wednesday, February 17 with a 7pm kick-off.

However, UEFA have now asked the game to moved forward to a 6pm kick-off.

The outstanding game, the only fixture currently being played in Scotland on that night, would be played at the same time as Champions League round of 16 games between Sevilla and Dortmund as well as Porto and Juventus, which kick-off at 8pm.

As is stands Celtic have played three games less than top of the table Rangers.

When asked about the three games in hand, boss Neil Lennon said: "It's just about playing well and winning games.

"We have been doing that up until the weekend so we go back on a run and we are capable of that."
