Ian Bankier might have copped some flak at the Celtic AGM but the Parkhead chairman seems to have achieved a unique feat.
He’s united the Old Firm.
Bankier has managed to rile up both sets of fans after his pop at refs and Nicola Sturgeon.
Allan Docherty emailed: “I was wondering what odds you would have got for Celtic greeting about referees at their AGM.
“They were allowed an offside goal in the League Cup for their last Treble and handed the league when they could have been caught.
“Next year's sponsors should be Kleenex.”
Scott Gowers, Edinburgh, said: “Ian Bankier is now trying to blame Nicola Sturgeon for for his club's demise last season.
“Sounds like sour grapes to me.
“Bankier would be better drying his eyes and sorting out the in-house mess, rather than blaming others.”
Derek Hay, Fife, said: “Someone at the Celtic AGM asked why referees gave 27 fouls against them against Aberdeen.
“Well, Jota committed 10 of them alone, yet was still on the park to score the winner.
“No mention of that, though, from 'the refs are out to get us' brigade.”
Chris Lowe, Yoker, said: “Dundee: 170 fouls, 33 cards, average of a card every five fouls.
“ Rangers : 140 fouls, 21 cards, average of a card every six fouls.
“Celtic: 160 fouls, 13 cards and astonishingly an average of a card every 13 fouls .
“With these stats I think every other SPFL team should have a concern about referees when playing Celtic, not the other way about as they claimed.”
David Bryce, Troon, said: “The Celtic board of directors should hang their heads given how long it took them to appoint a new manager.
“Rangers took all of seven days! They have appointed an exciting name in Gio van Bronckhorst whilst we appointed a third rate manager in Ange Postecoglou. Our board are not fit for purpose.”
David Gray emailed: “I never thought I would say it, but the current Celtic board’s statements make Gordon Ashley sound almost sane.”

Speaking of our Gordon, Paul Harvey, Kilbirnie, is welcoming Rangers’ new manager and said: “Ashley now says Van Bronckhorst hasn’t won anything of note as a manager, so he’s going to be a failure.
“He also predicted 10 In A Row, that Rangers would fold after New Year.”
George Wilson, West Sussex, said: “It is suddenly dawning on Celtic fans that Rangers may actually have a new manager who is even better than Gerrard — who left Celtic miles behind last season.
“More great days ahead for Rangers but misery for Celtic and Ange.”
Frank McFerran, Carrickfergus, said: “Gerrard is officially in the past, he did his job, now it’s time to move on with GVB.
“Personally, I would like Michael Mols back as part of his team. Think what that guy could pass on to Morelos?”
Finally, Danny Gallacher, Croftfoot, hit back at Tartan Army moaner David Rooke and said: “This was Denmark’s first qualifying defeat in five years and you could see they were absolutely gutted to lose.
“I think Dave was the only fan who stayed in his seat at Hampden on Monday as I’m sure I saw him a couple of seats along from me, and he wasn’t singing all night!”
While Kevin Lord, Drylaw, said: “While I would be delighted to see the clean slate Steve Clarke wants for cards, the rules were in place from day one and goal posts should not be moved mid-tournament.
“The risks were known, and those cards may have gained us an advantage over others in getting to this stage.”
Woah. A one match Hotline ban for Kevin here.
