Celtic 2 Ferencvaros 0: An impressive first win in the Europa League for Ange Postecoglou's side

Celtic kept their hopes of reaching the knockout stage of the Europa League as with a win over Ferencvaros

Kyogo Furuhashi and David Turnbull provided the goals as Celtic cruised to victory in Glasgow's east end.

Both sides went in to the match without a point, and Ange Postecoglou knew he needed a win to have any chance of catching Real Betis and Bayer Leverkusen.

Kyogo was slipped through to open the scoring by an inch-perfect Jota pass on the counter attack to find the bottom corner.

Turnbull rounded off the win as he bundled the ball into the net after a sweeping move down the right flank.

The Hungarian champions looked a class below Celtic, as the Hoops picked apart their defence time and time again.

It should have been more than just two for Celtic in what was a dominating attacking display but Celts fans can be happy that they are off the mark in Europe.

They now travel to Hungary in the next Group G game with Europa Conference League surely the minimum expectation.

Before that though, Ange Postecoglou's side have three Premiership games against St Johnstone (H), Hibernian (A) and Livingston (H).
