Celta Vigo vs Barcelona
LaLiga 2018-19
Venue: Estadio Municipal de Balaidos
Date: Saturday, May 4, 2019
Kick-off: 7:45pm BST
Barcelona are sitting extremely pretty across the board as they travel to Galicia for their next LaLiga fixture against Celta Vigo on Saturday evening.
Ernesto Valverde's side clinched their 26th domestic title and eighth in 11 years with three games to spare thanks to a narrow win over Levante last weekend before putting one foot in a first Champions League final since 2015 by brushing aside Liverpool in their last-four first-leg tie.
The Blaugrana will also face Valencia later this month in an attempt to win their fifth successive Copa del Rey crown as they close in on a third treble in club history.
Saturday's game is more significant for Celta, who are not yet safe from relegation danger.
After a run of only two defeats in eight matches, the Sky Blues, managed since March by Fran Escriba following the exits of Miguel Cardoso and Antonio Mohamed, sit 15th and two points above the drop zone.
Barcelona team news and predicted line-up
As he did against Huesca between the quarter-final wins over Manchester United, and with the title now successfully wrapped up, Valverde is free to ring the changes against Celta Vigo should he wish.
That should offer another opportunity to second-string players such as Malcom and Kevin-Prince Boateng as well as youngsters Jeison Murillo, Jean-Clair Todibo, Moussa Wague, Carles Alena and Riqui Puig.
Barcelona XI: Cillessen, Murillo, Todibo, Umtiti, Wague, Alena, Puig, Arthur, Malcom, Dembele, Boateng
Score prediction: Celta Vigo 1-1 Barcelona
A full-strength Barcelona team would likely win comfortably, but a weakened/experimental XI may find it tough against a battling Celta side desperate to secure their place in the Spanish top-flight for another season.
When the two sides met in December in the final match before the winter break, Ousmane Dembele and Lionel Messi both netted in a 2-0 win for the hosts at Camp Nou.
