Celia Walden jokes she's turning unemployed Piers Morgan into a house-husband

Celia Walden joked she has plans to turn unemployed Piers Morgan into a house-husband.

Piers may be at the centre of a £10million bidding war but his wife jested about whipping her husband into shape by leaving him with all the cleaning to do.

The presenter sensationally quit Good Morning Britain over a row about his Meghan Markle rants after the Duchess of Sussex filed a complaint herself to ITV.

Cheeky Celia seized the opportunity to joke it was time for Piers to work his magic in their gorgeous home.

The journalist snapped a photograph of her husband hard at work vacuuming their living room just moments before she was heading out to work.

In jest, she wrote: "I want it all done by the time I get back from work. Also, you missed a bit."

Amused Piers shared the same photo to his stories with a series of angry faces.

Their celebrity pal Amanda Holden shared her own entertainment at the post with a laughing crying emoji.

Piers apparently isn't short of job offers, having made an immediate departure from the ITV breakfast show last week.

It was believed he was on around £3million a year at ITV.

However, now it's understood Piers could be set to rake in the cash at the centre of a TV show bidding war.

Piers could be in line to front Rupert Murdoch’s upcoming News UK TV venture or even star of on US network Fox News.

GB News chairman Andrew Neil also was said to have his eye on the presenter for his new channel.

He has now quit Good Morning Britain (ITV)

Insiders claimed Piers is mulling over a return to the States, having had experience fronting his own show for CNN for three years.

A TV source told The Mirror: “He has had millions of pounds worth of offers. He turned GMB into a ratings hit, it seems everything he touches turns to gold.

“People love his honesty, even the people that don’t like him, they can’t help but be interested in what he says.

“Some of the offers have hit the £10million mark, and it seems he may be able to land exactly what he wants.”
