Despite the nation's best efforts, Covid is still with us and has sadly forced several celebrities to pull out of some prime time television.
Whether it's missing a show for a week due to quarantine or walking away altogether - no-one wants to hear the news their favourite star has tested positive for the virus.
As Richard Madeley announces he's quit I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! after breaking the show's 'Covid bubble', we take at look at who's had to step away from the spotlight due to the coronavirus.
Richard Madeley
Despite insisting he's "fine", Richard has had to quit I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! after breaking the show's 'Covid bubble'.
The Good Morning Britain presenter fell ill in Gwrych Castle in Wales and was immediately taken to hospital as a precaution.
Taking to Instagram, he said: "Richard here – firstly just to say that I’m absolutely FINE. I started to feel briefly unwell in the small hours of the morning and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
"By leaving the camp, I had consequently broken the Covid ‘bubble’ and as such I’ve had to leave the castle and all the wonderful celebs that remain in the camp."
The 65-year-old will no doubt be missed and is sure to remember his last ever challenge in which he was covered in fish guts and offal.
Nicola Adams
Olympic boxing champion Nicola Adams made Strictly Come Dancing history when she was danced in a same-sex couple in 2020.
Sadly for the athlete, her dance partner Katya Jones caught Covid, meaning it was time for Nicola to hang up her dancing shoes.
The pair were forced to drop out of the contest in week three due to the health scare and because of Strictly’s strict approach to dealing with the virus.
Speaking on the Jonathan Ross show earlier this year Nicola shared her astonishment at avoiding Covid.
She explained: “[My dance partner] Katya got Covid and then that was it, we were out of the show.
"I was absolutely gutted. Being a fighter, I’d have preferred to have gone out on my shield, in a dance off.
"How I never caught the virus I have no idea."
Judi Love
Loose Women star Judi Love unfortunately caught Covid during this series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The comedian was forced to miss a week of the competition as well as a lot of training with her dance partner Graziano Di Prima.
After testing negative for the virus she was able to return to Strictly a week later however Judi admitted Covid had left her with immense fatigue.
Despite their best efforts with only a handful of Zoom training session under their belt, Judi and Graziano were voted out of the competition.
However the star said she was to leave "the right way", after fears she would have to pull out of the show due to her Covid battle.
Speaking on Loose Women she said: ""Unfortunately this horrible virus has affected all of us, we've lost so many people.
"I think there was a sense of fight in me of no, it's not gonna stop me."
Derek Hough
Dancing With The Stars judge Derek Hough announced last week that he'd tested positive for Covid.
Taking to Instagram he said: “I have some news to share, and I wanted you to hear it straight from me.

“Even though I’ve been fully vaccinated, I’ve just been diagnosed with a breakthrough case of Covid.”
“I just found out. I feel OK. I feel strong. I’m currently taking advice from medical professionals, doing everything I can to get better as fast as I can.”
While Derek is in quarantine his sister professional dancer and choreographer Julianne Hough stood in for her brother on the show's stateside finale on Monday.
Craig Revel Horwood
Strictly judge Craig missed last week's Strictly after testing positive for Covid.
In a statement, a Strictly spokesperson said: “Craig Revel Horwood has tested positive for Covid-19 and is now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines.
"While Craig will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend, all being well he will return the following week.”
Craig is the first judge who has been forced to pull out of Strictly due to a positive test.

He was replaced by award-winning singer and actor Cynthia Erivo.
Speaking about hanging his judge's hat up for the week he said: “I watched it for the first time ever as not a judge, as a punter – and I really found that I wasn’t judging them anymore.
"I felt like I was getting into the flow of just being an audience member, which was totally different to how I normally view it."
Tom Fletcher
McFly frontman Tom and his dance partner Amy Dowden both caught Covid and were forced to miss a week of the show.
As the pair quarantined separately, Tom sent a message to Amy saying: "Rest up partner. We've got to pull something special out of the bag for week 3."

Despite making a triumphant return to the show, the pair twirled around the dance floor for the last time on the weekend.
Tom and Amy were both overcome with emotion when they spoke about their exit on It Takes Two with Tom saying: "I'm only crying because I had the best time and I am so lucky to have done the show."
