Wayne Lineker made a big impression on his Celebs Go Dating debut after using a bizarre chat-up line that left a potential date admitting she was afraid.
The younger brother of ex-footballer Gary signed up to the E4 dating show to find love after previously listing off his strict requirements for a partner, that included liking house music, having body definition and 'being a worldie.'
For his first singles mixer, Wayne, 58, was seen cosying up to a stunning brunette lady and her blonde pal when he suddenly asked the woman if she'd brought a knife.
Turning on the charm, the bar owner began: "There's only one girl I like in here babe."
"In that way," he clarified.
Wayne then turned to the woman asked if she had a knife.
"Have you got a knife?" he repeated when she failed to respond.
Breaking the tension, voiceover funnyman Rob Beckett cried: "A knife!? Should we be worried?"
"I'm scared," the woman admitted.
Confirming his intentions, Wanye explained: "Oh no, I was going to shine it up and go....have a look" as he pretended to make a mirror with his hands.
"This fella does need help," quipped Rob. "In a number of ways."
Viewers at home were stunned by Wayne's moves with some branding it 'awkward and weird.'

Wayne has joined a number of famous faces on the long-running dating series hoping to find their match.
Geordie Shore's Chloe Ferry and former Strictly star Karim Zeroual are also hoping the experts can pair them with The One during their time on the show.
