Celebs Go Dating fans baffled as Karim's date gives odd answer to sibling question

Celebs Go Dating fans were left baffled when CBBC host Karim Zeroual's date confused him with her speed-dating chat.

In the episode of the E4 reality show Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion, four new girls joined Karim, Curtis Pritchard, Tom Zanetti and Wayne Lineker where each male celebrity got the chance to chat with the new arrivals in a speed dating event.

During a conversation with his date, Jodie, Karim asked her whether she had any siblings, to which she replied that she didn't.

"No, but I have three nieces so I try to see them as much as possible," she said.

Karim didn't know how to reply (Channel 4)

Clearly confused by her response, she went on to explain that they are her brother's children.

"So you do have a sibling?" Karim clarified, to which Jodie replied: "No."

"But you have a brother?" Karim said, with Jodie saying: "Yes."

Baffled Karim decided the best thing to do was to change the subject of the conversation entirely instead of explaining what 'sibling' actually means.

Karim wasn't the only one left confused by the conversation as fans of the show took to Twitter to comment on it.

One said: "41 & you don't know what a sibling is #CelebsGoDating."

Another said: "The last time I checked, siblings meant any brothers or sisters."

"'Have you got any siblings. No, but I’ve got nieces,'" said a third.

While a fourth said: "Sibling gate. How does she not know what a sibling is?"
