Celebrity Traitors live: Jonathan Ross is banished as Faithfuls (finally) catch their first Traitor

The Celebrity Traitors viewers can breathe a sigh of relief because the Faithfuls have finally eliminated their first Traitor: Jonathan Ross.

After three agonising weeks of failed attempts to catch the rotten players, the Faithfuls have likely made history as the worst Traitor detectors to ever compete on the show.

During Wednesday night’s episode, Faithfuls Kate Garraway, Nick Mohammed and Lucy Beaumont were all at risk of “murder” by the Traitors – but it was Lucy who met her maker.

The Traitors – Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns – had all gone somewhat unscathed until the players decisively turned on Jonathan at the round table, who received six out of a possible seven votes. Both Cat and Alan voted for Jonathan to throw the Faithfuls off the scent.

During his banishment, Jonathan tricked players by pretending to be a Faithful, before he revealed his true Traitor status – and that they were right all along.

The episode ended on a cliffhanger with the Traitors (Cat and Alan) being informed that they must “murder” someone in plain sight at the dinner party during tomorrow night’s episode.

Will the Faithfuls suss out another Traitor, or will it be a victory for Cat and Alan in next week’s final?

The Celebrity Traitors continues on Thursday at 9pm on BBC One.

Rules to remember...

We’re so close to the final!

How they execute the mission, and who they choose, will all be revealed in tomorrow night’s episode. Thanks for following along!

Plot twist...

21:58 , Ellie Muir

Tomorrow’s round table will be the last one where banished players reveal their true identities. We’re getting closer and closer to the final!

Alan turns on Jonathan TOO!

21:54 , Ellie Muir

It’s going to be very awkward in the turret tonight if Jonathan doesn’t get banished...

Gasp! Cat turns on Jonathan

21:52 , Ellie Muir

We’ve finally got a Traitor turning on a Traitor at the roundtable.

(BBC)

Alan goes for David...again

21:51 , Ellie Muir

So Jonathan and Alan are the only people still pushing the David agenda. We don’t have time for this!

(BBC)

We're back at the round table – and it's tense

21:47 , Ellie Muir

Kate jumps straight in and asks people to bring their suspicions about her to the table. Hmmmm.

(BBC)

Joe M brings up Alan's blunder again – he hasn't forgotten

21:45 , Ellie Muir

Joe is growing suspicious of Alan, who seemed to forget he had a shield last night. Only a Traitor would forget they have a shield, says Joe.

Celia is onto Jonathan and Alan – but will she bring it up at the round table?

21:43 , Ellie Muir

“I adore you, but Alan, but you’re veeery clever,” says Celia.

(BBC)

Jonathan's trying to push the David theory again...

21:42 , Ellie Muir

Isn’t that getting a bit old now? Hopefully, everyone can see sense and not listen to Jonathan, AKA the Big Dog.

Joe M has got today's shield

21:39 , Ellie Muir

And £10,000 added to the prize pot!

Joe M is up...

21:37 , Ellie Muir

And he’s got the giggles.

(BBC)

Cat's up next...

21:33 , Ellie Muir

It’s time to tackle the bridge. She’s looking very nervous. But it’s OK, she’s got Celia there to shout words of encouragement.

(BBC)

21:31 , Ellie Muir

Balletic. Regal. Stunning.

Nick’s done this before!

(BBC)

Kate gives away a shield to Alan...

21:29 , Ellie Muir

Well, that was useless.

Now Nick will walk the plank, and Jonathan will be his guide.

Alan tries to walk the bridge...

21:27 , Ellie Muir

“Oh my god, it’s well wobbly!” screams Alan. He screams, and screams. This is brilliant.

(BBC)

Challenge time...

21:24 , Ellie Muir

They have to cross a very precarious bridge by trusting a guide. It’s giving I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

Celia tells Jonathan she is 'dazzled' by him but secretly thinks he's a Traitor

21:22 , Ellie Muir

“Darling, you know I’m dazzled by you. But I don’t want you to think I’m trouble and kill me!”

I love Celia.

(BBC)

Kate Garraway finally makes a suggestion...

21:20 , Ellie Muir

She reckons Jonathan and Alan are Traitors. Go on, Kate – tell them!

Bye Lucy....

21:16 , Ellie Muir

That has confused everyone even more, since plenty of the Faithfuls thought Lucy was actually a Traitor. Not what we need. Or, is it?

(BBC)

Lucy has been 'murdered' – and what a dramatic way to go

21:13 , Ellie Muir

Jonathan, Alan and Cat all murdered Lucy face-to-face.

“You should all feel very bad about yourselves,” she told them.

That means Kate is safe!

Joe M says they're doing the 'worst job in Traitors history'

21:07 , Ellie Muir

I couldn’t agree more, to be honest.

(BBC)

Was it Lucy or Kate?

21:06 , Ellie Muir

Whoever doesn’t walk into breakfast has been “murdered”. Yikes.

Nick is safe!

21:06 , Ellie Muir

He hugged Claud and is off back to the castle. Phew!

Aaaand we’re back!

21:05 , Ellie Muir

So we’ve returned to that creepy chessboard, where either Kate, Nick or Lucy will meet their maker. Literally, they will see the Traitors face-to-face.

If they see Claud, they’re safe. If they turn around and see the Traitors, they’ve been murdered.

I’ve actually got chills. It’s spooky season, indeed.

(BBC)

Less than 10 minutes to go...

20:53 , Ellie Muir

I might lose it if the Faithfuls don’t catch a Traitor tonight.
