Yasmin Karachiwala, the personal fitness trainer of several Bollywood celebrities, has recently shared on social media app, Instagram, a 10 minute workout for the upper body.
"All you need is 10 mins to do this Upper Body workout whether you’re a beginner, intermediate or advanced!!!!!!
I’ve got something for each one of you so try this workout and let me know how you feel after," Karachiwala has shared on Instagram.
The 10 minute workout is divided into three levels: beginner level which is "30 secs work - 30 secs active rest"; intermediate level which is "40 secs on - 20 secs active rest" and advanced level which is "50 secs on- 10 secs active rest".
In the video, Karachiwala has demonstrated several upper body workouts like inch worm- jump, crab to rotate, crouch to plank, reverse angle, and uppercut to punch.
The best part is no equipment is required to do these workouts.
These workouts provide several health benefits.
While the inchworm jump improves the posture and hamstring flexibility, it also improves circulation and core strength. It is also good for arm strength.
Crab to rotate works on the hip flexors, quads and torso. This low impact exercise is excellent for toning by effectively targeting the muscles of hamstrings, glutes, back extensors and arms.
Crouch to plank will strengthen your back, glutes, hamstrings, arms, and shoulders.
Reverse angle exercises improve the posture and motion.
