Before Covid-19, some of our favourite celebrities were forced into self-isolation in a different way after being thrown behind bars.
From Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon to pop star Justin Bieber and jail house regular Lindsay Lohan, celeb mugshots were once all the rage.
It proved that even the most famous stars struggle to look good in front of the police camerass.
The unflattering lighting, coupled with some time in the cells and the possibility of intoxication is hardly the recipe for an Instagrammable picture.
Here are some of the worst celebrity mugshots ever taken...
Wayne Rooney
Wayne Rooney was arrested by armed police for public intoxication and swearing in Washington on December 16, 2018.
The England legend, previously played for DC United, committed the offence in the US State where he was living at the time.
It is understood he was arrested by the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority at Dulles airport, which is near the club's stadium, for a class four misdemeanour before being released without bail.
He later paid a $25 fine with another $91 in costs.
A spokesman for Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said: "He was booked into the Loudoun County Adult Detention Centre on December 16, 2018, on a charge of public intoxication stemming from an arrest by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police (MWAA).
"He was later released on a personal recognizance bond."
Rooney's public intoxication arrest came when he was left "disorientated" by prescribed sleeping tablets he took on a flight while drinking, his spokesman said.
Blac Chyna
Blac Chyna was arrested for public intoxication and possession of drugs in 2016.
The busty model was stopped by police as she tried to board a plane and looked far from impressed on her mugshot.
She can at least take comfort in that she's not the only celeb with a dodgy picture on her police file - far from it.
Over the years people from all walks of the entertainment industry have produced awkward pictures after their run ins with the law.
Justin Bieber
Pop brat Justin looked very smug when he was arrested for driving under the influence and drag racing in January 2014.
Thanks to the smile on his face, it didn't look like he was even bothered.
Reese Witherspoon
The world saw a different side to sweet Reese when she was arrested for disorderly conduct in April 2014.
Reese found herself in trouble with the law after she confronted police while her husband Jim Toth was being arrested for driving under the influence.
Lindsay Lohan
Unfortunately for the star, Lindsay's got a string of dodgy mugshots to her name.
Arguably the worst one came when she handed herself into the police for a number of driving charges in March 2013.
Macaulay Culkin
The image of cute Kevin McCallister from Home Alone was pretty much wiped away with Macaulay's mugshot in September 2004.
The actor was arrested for possession of marijuana and two controlled substances.
Paris Hilton
Paris never leaves the house without lip gloss - not even for a mugshot.
The blonde heiress was arrested for driving with a suspended license in January 2007.
Hugh Grant
It's been more than 20 years and Hugh still can't shake this one off.
The charming Brit made headlines around the world with his mugshot when he was arrested for indecent conduct in a public place after being caught with sex worker Divine Brown in June 1995.

There was nothing glitzy or glamorous about Nicole's mugshot taken in December 2006.
Instead it showed a stripped down version of the reality star after she was arrested for driving under the influence.
Mel Gibson
