Celebrity Mastermind contestants answer to Greta Thunberg question has audiences in stitches

Celebrity Mastermind left viewers scratching their heads in astonishment on Thursday night - but it wasn’t a tricky question that left fans baffled, it was the ridiculous answer.

Casualty actress Amanda Henderson, 33, might never live down the moment she got a general knowledge question spectacularly wrong - in front of cameras.

The actress (who has played Robyn Miller on the BBC medical drama since 2013) was in the spotlight on the long running BBC quiz - with her specialist subject being Disney songs from 1989-1999.

But when show host John Humphries asked her a very topical question, she looked confused, blank, and then blurted a ridiculous response.

“The 2019 book entitled No-one is Too Small To Make A Difference is a collection of speeches made by a Swedish climate change activist. What’s her name?” John asked - as a visibly struggling Amanda sat frozen in her chair.

And the actress, shaking her head, offered the now immortal answer: “Sharon?”

Viewers tuning in took to Twitter to laugh at the actress over her silly answer.

“Sharon has to be best quiz answer in 2020. Great start to the decade,” one amused fan wrote, alongside a string of crying-with-laughter emojis.

“Our climate change global superstar will always be Sharon Thunberg to me from now on,” joked another.

Amanda didn’t have much luck on the political front either - coming under fire for answering a question about Irish politics.

Asked: “What political party was founded in Ireland in 1905 which name is usually translated into English as ‘We ourselves’ or ‘Ourselves alone’?” Amanda replied: “IRA?” - not knowing the correct answer was Sinn Fein.
