Celebrity Masterchef viewers furiously switched off tonight's installment due to Crissy Rock's "unbearable" trait.

Unimpressed spectators insisted that they were forced to tune out of the BBC One show due to the award-winning actresses accent.

The 61-year-old Benidorm star appeared to rub fans up the wrong way thanks to her thick Liverpool twang.

The straight-talking Scouser has brought laughter to millions on screen throughout the years, and her latest TV stint makes no exception.

Crissy dished out the dirty jokes and showcased her infectious laugh on the much-loved cookery show.

Tonight, she battled it out against TOWIE's Pete Wicks and ground-breaking BBC documentary maker Riyadh Khalaf.

While her loyal supporters took to Twitter to share their love and admiration for the talented actress, other's were left annoyed by her thick Scouse accent.

Annoyed viewers insisted that they were forced to turn off the TV because they found her tone too much.

"Oh my god is it just me or is Crissy's accent the bloody strongest Liverpool accent you have ever heard? Why is it annoying me?" questioned one disbelieving fan.

"Okay so I just had to turn off Celebrity Masterchef because of Crissy Rock's bloody Liverpool swang!" another echoed.

"Me too! I usually love it but she really got on my goat tonight" another viewer replied.

While a fourth fan fumed: "Crissy Rock and her unbearable bloody accent. I simply cannot!".

Crissy started her career as a stand up comedian on a 1980s revival of Opportunity Knocks, presented by Bob Monkhouse, where she went down a storm.

Most notably she played hotel manager Janey York in hit ITV sitcom Benidorm.

She has also appeared in films including Ken Loach’s critically acclaimed Ladybird Ladybird, for which she won rave reviews.

Reality fans may remember that Crissy also came 6th on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here in 2011.

The comedian is still gigging but she was forced to postpone her latest tour, Crissy Rock: Live, because of the coronavirus outbreak.

Crissy will now be taking her stand-up to theatres across the country in 2021 instead.
