Celebrity MasterChef's Lady Leshurr in hysterics as she says John Torode can be a rapper

Celebrity MasterChef viewers were left in stitches after contestant Lady Leshurr gave John Torode the go ahead to become a professional rapper.

The show's quarterfinal served fans some tense telly, with contestants Lady Leshurr, Gethin Jones, Amar Latif and Felicity Montagu battling it out for a spot in the semi-final.

But it was when Lady Leshurr was gearing up to cook her duck main when judge John gave her a run for her money as he came up with a bizarre rap.

Rapper Lady Leshurr - real name Melesha Katrina O'Garro - told John and Gregg Wallace that she was gearing up to prepare a meal she has never made before.

Telling judges about her meal, she said: "I've decided to throw myself in the deep end and cook something completely different which is duck with plantain - three ways."

Greg begins to quiz her on the ingredients, asking: "Did I see jerk seasoning there? Where's that going?"

To which the rapper responded: "Yes, that's going to go inside the glaze that I'm doing with the stout."

John then says: "Fantastic. And then your other course is?"

Lady Leshurr then tells him she's going to make a passionfruit and pineapple posset with a shot of pineapple rum, but admits the amount of times she's cooked these dishes is "half of one".

During her conversation with the judges, the rapper's pan overfills with sauce, causing a major spill to take place.

"As you can see it's a disaster," she says.

To which John says: "Are you going to change the name MasterChef to DisasterChef?"

The rapper said her main course was turning into a 'disaster' (BBC)

Lady Leshurr then gave John the green light to take up a rap career, saying: "Exactly, oh I love that. You can actually be a rapper, that's boss."

John seemed pretty pleased with himself following that complimentary comment.
