Celebrity MasterChef fans blast 'unfair' challenge as one team gets 'easier' dish

Celebrity MasterChef viewers hit out at the show on Wednesday, as Greg Rutherford, Dillian Whyte, Martha Reeves and Elizabeth Bourgine took on the next challenges.

The men and women were split into two teams, before being divided from their partners via a wall.

They had to cook their dishes away from each other, but had to communicate in order to make sure their dishes looked and tasted the same.

But some viewers were not entirely on board, after noticing something about the meals each team had to create from scratch.

The red team, Greg and Dillian, had to make pork and beef meatballs with gnocchi in a tomato sauce.

Blue team members Martha and Elizabeth had to make lobster bolognese.

While both meals had to be made entirely from scratch, viewers couldn't help believe the two tasks were of different difficulty levels.

Viewers claimed the blue team had a more difficult task (BBC)

They said Martha and Elizabeth had drawn the short straw, being tasked with a much harder meal than the boys.

Taking to Twitter , fans called out the show and said the blue team didn't have a chance of winning with it being so difficult.

One viewer commented: "This challenge seems a tad harsh, who in their right mind knows how to cook lobster bolognese from scratch?!"

Another said: "These 2 dishes are way different in difficulty. Not fair on Martha."

A third tweeted: "Blue team are getting absolutely shafted here."

This was echoed by another viewer who said: "Lobster bisque with hand made spaghetti vs meatballs and gnocchi - I think the ladies have drawn the short straw."

Celebrity MasterChef airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on BBC One.
